Regular dental checkups play an important role in maintaining optimal oral health. During your dental exam we will assess your mouth for signs of oral disease such as gum disease, oral cancer, dental decay and signs of infection. We will also examine your jaw for joint problems and signs of clenching and grinding. Your mouth is often the first place in your body to show signs of more serious conditions affecting your heart, liver and digestive system. For all of these reasons, we recommend that you and your family come for a full dental checkup every 6 months.
